01What Bootstrap Your Business is

Bootstrap Your Business helps first-time and early-stage founders work out what to focus on now, what comes next, and what can wait. It includes the Founders Journey, free guides and worksheets, Founder Tools, Founder Documents, and the AI Business Partner.

Bootstrap Your Business helps you make better-informed decisions. It doesn't make them for you, and it never moves you forward in the Journey without you.

02Invite only for now

Right now you need an invitation to use Bootstrap Your Business. While we keep building, features may change, move or be removed, and things may sometimes break, but we'll work to fix them.

We may also end invite-only access. If we do, we'll tell you ahead of time when we reasonably can, and you can download your data from Settings first.

03Your account

• You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter a binding agreement where you live.
• Give us accurate details and keep access to your email address.
• Keep your sign-in links and devices secure. Tell us if you think someone else has used your account.
• One person per account. Don't share or resell access.

04The AI Business Partner gives guidance, not professional advice

The AI Business Partner and everything else in Bootstrap Your Business give general guidance and education. They are not legal, financial, tax, accounting or investment advice, and they don't replace a qualified professional who knows your situation.

AI can be wrong, out of date or incomplete. Please:

• check important information before you rely on it;
• treat AI suggestions as a starting point, not proof;
• talk to a lawyer, accountant or other professional for decisions like contracts, forming a company, taxes, hiring or big financial commitments.

You're responsible for your business decisions and what you do with Bootstrap Your Business's output. See our Disclaimer for more.

05Your content

• What you put into Bootstrap Your Business is yours. That includes your business details, notes and work.
• You give us permission to store and process it only as needed to run Bootstrap Your Business for you: saving your work, powering the AI Business Partner, supporting you, and keeping the service working. This permission ends when your content is deleted, except for copies we must keep as described in our Privacy Policy.
• Only enter information you have the right to use. Take care with information about other people.
• You may use what Bootstrap Your Business helps you create for your own business. AI output may not be unique, and others may get similar results. Review it before you use or publish it.

06Our content

Bootstrap Your Business's software, design, branding, documents, guides and other materials belong to Freedom Compass Ventures. We give you a personal, non-transferable right to use them for your own business while you have access. Please don't copy, resell or share paid material, scrape the service, or use it to build a competing copy of Bootstrap Your Business.

07Fair use

Please don't use Bootstrap Your Business to break the law, mislead or harm people, get around security or usage limits, interfere with the service, or misuse the AI Business Partner. Memberships include a monthly AI usage limit. We may limit, pause or end access if someone misuses Bootstrap Your Business, doesn't pay, or puts other users or the service at risk. Where it's reasonable, we'll tell you first and give you a chance to fix it.

08Payments

• You're buying from Freedom Compass Ventures LLC. Card payments are handled by Stripe, a secure payment company. We never see or store your full card number. Any sales tax is shown before you pay.
• Founder Documents (a one-time purchase, price shown before you buy): all sales are final once delivered, meaning once the document is available to open or download in your account. You'll confirm this with a checkbox before you buy.
• AI Business Partner membership: while Bootstrap Your Business is invite only, it costs nothing. Before we start charging, we'll tell you the price and you choose whether to keep it. After that, it's $20 per month, renews monthly until you cancel, and there's no free trial. Cancel anytime; access continues to the end of the month you've paid for. We don't refund the current month.
• Exceptions: we refund duplicate charges and failures to deliver.
• Full details are in our Refund and Cancellation Policy.
• Prices and what's included are shown before you buy. If we change the price of your membership, we'll tell you at least 30 days before the change applies to you.

09Other services

Bootstrap Your Business relies on other companies, like our hosting, database, AI and payment providers. We're not responsible for their outages or for services outside our reasonable control. Some features may link to outside websites; their own terms apply there.

10No guarantees

Building a business is uncertain. We can't promise that Bootstrap Your Business will lead to customers, revenue, funding or any particular result. Bootstrap Your Business is provided "as is" and "as available", and we don't promise it will always be available or error-free. Some laws don't allow these limits, so they apply only as far as the law allows.

11Limits on our liability

As far as the law allows:

• we're not liable for indirect or consequential losses, like lost profits, lost opportunities or lost data; and
• our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us for Bootstrap Your Business in the 12 months before the problem arose, or $100 if you paid nothing.

You agree to cover reasonable costs we face because you broke these terms or the law while using Bootstrap Your Business, as far as the law allows.

12Ending things

You can stop using Bootstrap Your Business anytime. Cancel any membership separately (see the Refund and Cancellation Policy). You can download or remove your saved data in Settings, or email us to close your account. Parts of these terms that naturally continue after you leave, like ownership and liability limits, still apply.

13Arizona law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Arizona. Any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Arizona, unless the law where you live says otherwise. If you have a problem, please contact us first. Most things can be fixed with a conversation.

14Changes to these terms

We review these terms from time to time. If we make an important change, we'll update the effective date and let you know, and we may ask you to accept the new version before you keep using Bootstrap Your Business.
